We’re currently looking for a dynamic, influential and results oriented person to join the Ghana Country Office team to help us increase our income and reach our ambitious funding targets. This is an international recruitment for a fixed term contract from July/August 2013 to March 2014 and is located in Accra, Ghana. The position reports directly to the Country Director and has a matrix relationship to Regional Funding Manager.
The job
The role will support the Country Director and Programme Managers in ensuring highest standards of programme quality in new as well as ongoing programmes. This includes articulating strong projects designs, M&E frameworks and rationales for project and VSO’s unique contribution. It also facilitates the country office’s ability to respond to funding and/or larger partnership opportunities with bi-lateral, multilateral and institutional donors, foundations working in close collaboration with Regional Funding Manager and the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the rest of the proposal bid teams. You
You are a fundraiser with experience in leading on resource mobilization and bringing in significant restricted/grants income. You will have interacted at a country, regional or global capacity in supporting and enabling others to meet funding goals and have demonstrated your resource mobilization leadership in proposal development and implementation. You also have experience in ensuing donor reporting requirements including financial reports are met.
