If you have a PhD in Economics or Agricultural Economics and at least five years of postdoctoral
experience, you may be the person that the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) (www.iwmi.cgiar.org) is looking for to fill the position of Senior Researcher – Economics. You will develop a research portfolio on macroeconomics of water use and management at basin, country and regional level in West Africa, and on the broader global economic implications of water flows through trade and foreign direct investment in agriculture. In addition, you should have a good grounding in microeconomics and economic modeling. You will be based at the West Africa Office of IWMI in Accra, Ghana, and will report to the Theme Leader for the Institute's research theme on 'Water and Society'.
