AfID’s partner works to raise awareness of the needs of people with disabilities, providing information on
access to healthcare, welfare, education and employment opportunities and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.

You will be the fourth volunteer on placement here. The third volunteer spent a month in June supporting them with a move to Quickbooks. However they would like continued support from a volunteer, especially in long-term financial planning and budgeting. The Finance and Administrative Office also would like additional training on Excel and hands on support for Finance team in general, especially in preparation for their end of year annual strategy meeting in December. Our partner plans to have a long-term strategy plan in place then and would like budget projections and a multi-pronged fund development strategy from the Finance Team for the meeting in December.

This role is based in Ho, Ghana for four-weeks, with scope for extension. Ideally a volunteer would begin in November.

The organisation is based near a number of waterfalls famed for their beauty, a monkey sanctuary, the highest mountain in Ghana, and many natural beauty spots. There are also local markets and a sports stadium nearby.
