The International Economic Growth Division conducts projects in agriculture, economic development, labor, privatization, environment, and trade. Our clients include the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and multilateral financial institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank.

Minimum Qualifications:

MA/MBA with 7 - 10 years of experience OR PhD with 4 - 6 years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

The Deputy Chief of Party must have seven to ten years of experience in managing operations of USAID-funded contracts and possess a Master‘s degree in management, international development, monitoring and evaluation, public administration, business management, accounting, or financial management. Demonstrated technical familiarity in trade, transportation, value chain development, or institutional capacity building desired. The candidate should be able to exhibit ability to ensure that the project is financially and administratively well-managed and is focused on achieving results. The candidate must possess superior project management skills and is expected to manage the day-to-day operations of a large regional project.

The incumbent will oversee the grants and local subcontracts under the project. He/She will be responsible for all financial aspects of the contract, including preparation of all financial reporting requirements.

Skills Prerequisites:
Solid oral and written communication and presentations skills in English and French.
Experience in managing grants or contracts.
Prior work experience in Africa required, experience in West Africa preferred.
